2026 national handbook now available
The 2026 Magellan Healthcare National Provider Handbook is now available, as well as the updated handbook supplement pertaining to organizations/facilities. You can access these national documents as well as the Connect Nevada handbook supplement at www.MagellanofNevada.com, under For Providers / Provider Resources.
In accordance with your agreement(s) with Magellan, you should adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the national handbook and any supplements that apply to plan members you serve. When information in the Connect Nevada supplement conflicts with the national handbook, or when specific information does not appear in the national handbook, the policies and procedures in the Connect Nevada supplement prevail.

UPDATE: Claims processing system feed issue
Providers should now see all outpatient provider claims (837P) submitted from Jan. 22 through Feb. 3, 2025, reflected in online portals. These claims originally did not feed into Magellan's claims payment system properly due to a system issue.

Handbook supplement updated for Connect Nevada
We recently posted the updated provider handbook supplement for serving in the Connect Nevada program. The update, effective March 17, 2025, includes additional evidence-based practices, expanded provider participation criteria, assessment tool submission timeframes, referral acceptance timeframes, and a change to contact information for appeals and grievances.

Magellan of Nevada is committed to reimbursing our providers promptly and accurately in accordance with our contractual agreements. Timely submission of claims is not only important for your practice to receive reimbursement for rendered services, but also for Magellan to ensure medically necessary services can be validated against approved authorizations.
