Child and Adolescent Needs and Strength (CANS) training certification
If you are a participating provider with Magellan for the Connect Nevada program and are contracted to conduct assessments, you must have a valid CANS certification prior to delivering services.
- If you are not currently CANS certified, email NevadaProvider@MagellanHealth.com for instructions on how to obtain certification.
- If you are already CANS certified, email a copy of the certificate to NevadaProvider@MagellanHealth.com to document in your provider record.
Revise contract and provider data
Magellan is committed to maintaining current, accurate provider practice information in our database so that youth and families have correct information when choosing a provider, and to enable our providers to receive important communications from Magellan in a timely manner.
For Magellan’s policy on updating practice information, see section 2 of the Magellan National Provider Handbook (PDF).
Contracted providers are required to notify Magellan and/or confirm any changes in administrative practice information. Note: Some changes to provider information may result in the need for a contract amendment.
Validate your practice data online. Refer to this instruction sheet (PDF) on how to access and submit changes using Magellan’s Provider Data Change Form (via Availity Essentials).
